If you’re looking for a relaxed dining experience with friends and are partial to some, shisha I’d definitely suggest going here. Recently refurbished in May, the lounge has taken a modern and sleek approach to this style of dining. A large open room is filled with lots of seating options, they have patio heaters throughout to keep you warm. If you’re going in winter I’d suggest wearing something warm though as it does get a little chilly!
All of their drink offerings are non-alcoholic, but that didn’t mean there was a lack of choice, the bar offered a huge variety of drinks. Upon recommendation I opted for the delicious and spicy mango cocktail, the perfect balance of spicy and sweet (it also came with crisps, win-win!).

For starters, we opted for hummus and falafel. Both were delicious, the falafel came with a really tasty tahini dipping sauce too.

For mains I had the chicken shawarma with rice, the portion sizes were extremely generous. The rice was delicious, with pomegranate seeds and grated carrot. The chicken was pleasant but lacked a little flavour and was slightly tough.
My partner opted for the lamb kofta dish, which was our favourite of the two dishes. The lamb was lovely and tender and packed with plenty of flavour. You can choose to have rice or chips with either of these meals.

Due to the generous portion sizes, we didn’t need to round off the meal with dessert, but if there’s still room, there’s plenty to choose from!
Mint Lounge is a great casual dining spot, perfect for a group of friends before an evening down the Cowley Road!
