Review: Love Jericho

Cocktail O’Clock

Located in the heart of Jericho, Love Jericho is home to an independent, cosy cocktail bar with lots of options available on the menu. You are spoilt for choice! I took ages trying to decide what to order.

The bar itself has a rustic feel inside, and it’s a great spot whether you’re looking for a midweek cocktail or to get the weekend vibe going.

Round one

Kicked off with a Spicy Margarita and a Lychee and Raspberry Martini.

I first realised that I loved a spicy margarita about two years ago. Something about the Tajin rim that just makes the drink more fun and adds the extra kick- not the greatest thing to have in the middle of a deep conversation, but we move.

The Martini was sweet and fruity and well presented. The Marg was well balanced- we enjoyed both cocktails from round one.

Round 2

Up next was the Mango Crush mocktail and Lychee Mojito.

I could not taste much lychee with the mojito, and as I am not the biggest rum fan (this was my bad when ordering it), the rum felt overpowering, and it tasted more like a standard mojito.

The mango mocktail was made with lime, vanilla syrup, mango puree, apple juice, and soda. The vanilla syrup and mango combination wasn’t my friend’s favourite. I think there was too much vanilla syrup, which did not balance with the other ingredients.

Round 3

We ended on a sweet note with a White Chocolate Martini and a Grasshopper.

These were probably our favourites! You might know from previous articles and content that I have a sweet tooth, so the white chocolate martini was perfect for me. It was delicious and not overly sweet- would definitely order this again!

The grasshopper is one for the mint lovers – a great dessert cocktail to wrap up the night, and the chocolate dusting on top added a nice layer of flavor.

Overall summary

Offering a huge range of cocktails, Love Jericho is a solid spot for a drink pre- or post-meal in the area, and with so many good dinner spots in Jericho, it’s not hard to plan a great evening in the area. The staff had a great vibe and were very welcoming. Their drinks are well priced, and the menu is sure to have something to your liking.
