Bitten Bake Off

13th July 2015 by Becca Chaplin Leave a Comment BlogCAKE/ EVENTS/ NEWS/ Oxford/ OXFORDSHIRE/ STREET FOOD

This Saturday sees an extra Bitten event from our usual regular spot on the first Saturday of the month. This Saturday we’re going summery with our first fete. Of course, there will be the usual epic street food vendors – we’ve got Toro Poco and StakeHaus bringing ALL the meat, Becky’s Blimming Good Bhajis aren’t just for the vegetarians (by the way, that’s what we’re calling them from now on!), Joe Perks & Co with their meaty sausage lovingly squeezed into a bun, Barefoot Kitchen with their legendary baked beauties and Pukeko Coffee keeping you all going.

In addition, there will be our Bitten DJ Ollie, fun, games, stalls and the inaugural Bitten Bake Off. Bring along your showstopper cake and/or biscuits, get your kids to enter our under 12 category and prepare to be judged by some serious sweet tooths! The Bitten Team will be joined by Oxford Castle bosslady Sam Pace, Barefoot Kitchen’s Emily and celebrity chef Lotte Duncan will be casting a professional eye over the proceedings. Entry costs £2, bakes can be submitted from 11am in our cake canopy and judging will take place at 4pm. There will be prizes as well as being awarded Bitten’s Best Bakers!

Categories & Prizes:

  • Best Cake Baker – wins cream tea for two at St Giles’ Cafe
  • Best Biscuit Baker – wins cream tea for two at St Giles’ Cafe
  • Best Junior Baker (under 12s) – wins a £25 voucher from Boswells Oxford

Get baking!
