Pasta over pizza for me, but you can’t go wrong with a trip to Bbuona.
I’ve always been a huge fan of Bbuona. Serving authentic Roman ‘Pinsa,’ an ancient Roman-style pizza known for its oval shape, the pizza here is divine. What I really love about it is that each time I’ve visited over the years, quality has stayed consistent, something I feel really lacks in restaurants nowadays.

A spritz and pizza- the only way to feel like I’m in Italy
Since I can’t be in Italy right now, I thought, despite it being cold, I might as well enjoy a spritz.
I had a Sarti Spritz, and my friend went for a good old Hugo Spritz. A Hugo is still my favourite Spritz, but the Sarti is a solid frutier alternative.
Pizza choices were: Margherita di Bufala and Salame.
The margherita with mozzarella is my go-to choice- I’m a sucker for the simple option. You can taste the quality of the tomatoes and cheese used, which makes such a difference.
My friend really enjoyed the Salame pizza, it wasn’t lacking on any of the toppings, and after stealing a slice, I really enjoyed it too.
I recommend ordering two different pizzas and sharing, if you like a little variety.

Final verdict: Bbuona doesn’t miss

If you haven’t had a chance to check out Bbuona, I highly recommend you do. The prices are very reasonable, there is a great variety of options on the menu, depending on your pizza preferences, and it’s got that casual and welcoming feel which, if you try really hard, makes you feel like you are somewhere in Italy! If you fancy having pasta instead of pizza, right next door to Bbuona is their sister restaurant, 100% Pasta, for all your pasta needs and cravings.
This is your sign to get yourself to Pan Pan.
