Bitten Street Comes To The End Of The Road….

24th August 2017 by Becca Chaplin 3 Comments BlogEVENTS/ STREET FOOD

I thought that if I was going to have this song stuck in my head for the next week or so then it would only be fair to share it with the rest of you. And for those of you too young to know what I’m on about… YouTube As the title suggests, Jacqui and I have indeed come to the end of the road or more accurately to the end of the street. Even more specifically, to the end of Bitten Street. Next Saturday, 2nd September will be our last Bitten Street for the foreseeable future.

Developments in and around Oxford mean that there isn’t really a suitable venue for the kind of events we really want to hold so rather than plodding on we’ve decided to take a step back and focus on other projects. We want to revitalise our website, shout about Indie Oxford Compendium and plan some really cool stuff that we think you’ll like. However, if you know of somewhere that could work for Bitten Street Part II, tell us!

So we want to say a massive thank you to all of you who’ve supported us in this venture. You’ve shared our posts, posted your own, eaten some awesome food, drank us out of booze many times and been pretty damn amazing.

Come and see us on 2nd September 11-3 at Oxford Castle for our send-off, we’ll say thanks in person and you might even get a hug! And keep a close eye on the website for our future plans….

❤️

Becca and Jacqui

Such a shame I won’t be in Oxford to come to the last one! Looking forward to see what’s next for Bitten though 🙂

Hi girls, sorry to hear that. I know it’s not as pretty as the castle site, but have you thought about Frideswide Square? lots of footfall and I know they have power points set in somewhere! I know you have to access through the council but maybe worth a try.

Would love to see you in Frideswide Square! So sad to hear but you’re an unstoppable team so I’m excited for your future projects. Keep in touch! @GoodFoodOxford
