A family owned Neapolitan pizza place situated on a campsite in Farmoor!
We regularly pass through Farmoor which is apt because that’s all you tend to do, but now there’s a reason to stop. Valley Farm Pizza have opened up just between Farmoor and Botley on the Valley Farm campsite.
They have a very cute little hut with a wood fire pizza oven at the back and are churning out pizzas for pre-order. We rang at opening time and got a very friendly person on the line who asked us to text through our name and order. 45 minutes later we picked up five steaming hot pizzas to enjoy at home.
Before heading off to eat, Holly just had to get a picture of the two cute donkeys and the sunset. It’s a gorgeous place to eat, but they only have two small tables.
They were very accommodating with changing toppings on the varying orders. Holly was pleased to see her Hawaiian favourite make an appearance (whilst Rachel quietly judged her for her choice). They also had two specials on the go, one with Italian spicy sausage and the other with all of Rachel’s favourites – anchovies, capers, olives – so it was an instant hit.
The pizzas are generously sized, definitely enough for a main evening meal.
The base is pure sourdough goodness, topped with a lovely light tomato sauce and the perfect amount of toppings. The cheese isn’t overwhelming, so you can really enjoy the flavour of the toppings.
It’s more expensive than our local favourite – five pizzas cost £46.00. But picking up your pizzas from this rather idyllic site has a rustic charm. Most other places would find that hard to compete with!
In a nutshell: a new place on the block worth a visit if you’re passing and in the mood for some Italian indulgence!

Second negative experience- the first time before Christmas the two pizzas we ordered wee burnt black and with one pizza having much less toppings than the other. We were given a freebie after complaining and willing to give them another go as our first experience the pizzas were perfect. Sadly tonight they were very oily, the pizza base was very thin in the centre and they had almost no tomato base on either pizza despite emphasising that they use san Marzano tomatoes which are the best but sadly missing on our delivery. It’s a shame really as they have the potential to be excellent but sadly there is no consistency.

We have been ordering pizzas from Valley Farm since they opened in 2020, they are hands down the best pizzas in Oxford. The bases are thin which is what we love about them, forget that stodgy Dominos style! Not only that but the girls who run it and the local young staff are so welcoming and friendly – I suppose their 5 star reviews on every site is evidence of how excellent they are. Shame you cant please everyone.
