Review: Part & Parcel Roast Dinner

5th December 2025 by Holly and Rachel Leave a Comment AD - Gifted, AD - Invite, BlogINDEPENDENTS/ NEW/ OXFORDSHIRE/ pub/ ROAST/ SUNDAY ROAST/ WITNEY

Hats off to the Dodo Pub chain, which just keeps on giving.

From their Burger Monday nights (burger and fries for £7.99) to their Rotisserie Chicken Wednesdays, and now their newly launched Sunday Roast menu, they’re the kind of neighbourhood pub that just gets it right.

We went along to try it, and they’ve absolutely smashed it.

They’ve kept things intentionally simple, no frills, and plan to expand the sides and desserts over time, but it already delivers big on flavour and value.

You can choose from Roast Beef Rump (£18.95), served pink, Rotisserie Chicken (£17.95), or a Butternut Squash Wellington. There are also kids’ roast options. The must-order side? Cauliflower cheese (£4.95) – rich, creamy, and totally worth it.

The roasts arrived quickly and piping hot. The rump beef was incredibly tender and full of flavour, with generous portion sizes all round. The half chicken was moist and beautifully seasoned from being rotisserie cooked.

Each roast comes with roast potatoes, Yorkshire pudding, seasonal veg, and gravy (and yes, you can order extra gravy). The roasties were super crispy, the Yorkshire perfectly doughy, and the greens, onions, and carrots all full of flavour.

We paired our meal with a refreshing Hugo Spritz and a mellow glass of Merlot before finishing with the half-baked cookie and ice cream, a brilliant sharer and the perfect sweet ending.

The Part and Parcel delivers the ideal Sunday vibe: relaxed, cosy, and welcoming. Think Sunday papers, a perfectly curated playlist, friendly service, and a dog-friendly atmosphere (Ralphie certainly approved of the biscuits).

With board games, large tables for groups, and a laid-back pace, it’s the kind of place you come for lunch and end up staying for the afternoon.

A 10/10 roast and a perfect Sunday spot.
