If there are two things I love about food blogging, it’s the great food and brilliant people – and this story has both. Remember Souvlaki Brothers who had a shop in the Covered Market? And remember them as street food traders at Bitten Street even before that? Well, Souvlaki Brothers has now become Mezemas – and Mezemas is bringing the Greek feast – directly to your door. You lucky, lucky things.
Mezemas is a new meal delivery service, that promises a full meal of freshly prepared, authentic Greek dishes – and it’s got ‘dinner party’ written all over it. Their flagship offering, The Meze Box, is a generously sized sharing feast for four people, that comes fully prepared, ready to heat and serve. The meal kit contains a whopping 13 traditional Greek dishes and costs £85. You order by midnight on Tuesday for delivery on Friday, to a selection of OX, HP, RG & SL postcodes (which you can check on their website).

Unboxing the Mezemas Greek Feast
The kit arrives neatly boxed, ensuring that all items are secure and well-preserved. Inside, along with the food, you’ll find a welcome note and instructions for each dish, along with blue napkins and a white table covering – ideal for setting the scene. Oh, and ouzo sweets, too!
Each item is clearly labelled, with cooking times where required, making it easy to prepare the full meal with minimal time and effort. The longest heating time was 25 minutes, so you’ll have the whole lot on the table within half an hour. And it is a whole lot – you won’t be left hungry!

Taste Test: A Culinary Journey to Greece
OK, so my plateful wasn’t quite as neat as it could have been. By the time I was ready to plate up, the rest of the family was circling like vultures, having seen me prepare it. But was it good? Yeah, I bloody loved it. There are a couple of dishes I wasn’t entirely sold on, but overall it was a fabulous feast.
The standout dishes for me were the waxy lemon potatoes, the goddam gorgeous tzatziki, the tirokeftedes (fried cheese balls), the spanakopitakia (filo parcels), and the Kalamata olives. Andrew and the kids also loved the meatballs, the Pastitsio (a bit like a Greek lasagne), and the fluffy pitta.
As meat eaters, we agreed we would prefer to swap out a couple of the vegetable-based dishes in favour of another meat dish, but we all came away from the meal happy, full, and impressed with the first incarnation of what looks to be a really bloody good offering from Mezemas. We even had leftovers to use the next day – smothering that tzatziki over anything we could!
Whenever I review somewhere or something new, I always ask myself, who else would I share this with? I can see this working for a family meal, with friends, or for a dinner party. So there are a number of reasons to book a delivery from Mezemas.

Final Verdict: Is Mezemas Worth It?
One of the major advantages of Mezemas is its convenience. The meal arrives fully prepared, requiring a maximum of 25 minutes of heating before it’s ready to serve. This makes it ideal for busy families, special occasions, or anyone looking to enjoy a high-quality meal without the hassle of cooking.
Mezemas delivers on its promise of providing an authentic Greek dining experience with minimal effort. The quality of the ingredients, the taste of the dishes, and the convenience of the whole kit make it a standout choice in the meal delivery market. Whether you’re a fan of Greek cuisine or simply looking for a convenient meal solution, Mezemas is worth trying.
