Did Knead Bakery win me over with their pastries? Yes. Will I ever order something other than my current favourite one? Unlikely, but it’s good to have hope.
Knead Bakery landed in Oxford in late June, and it is safe to say that I had to go back after attending the opening. I decided to drop in for a coffee and pastry to treat myself mid-week, and Moose and Chiara joined me.
Pecan and maple danish – do I need to say more?

I went for a Mocha coffee and their stunning Pecan and Maple Danish pastry, which has been awarded two stars at the Great Taste Awards.
The Pecan Danish is just incredible. It is super crispy on the outside and moist inside, filled with a pecan and maple butter.
If you have not tried it, you MUST give it a go. Safe to say it is my favourite (so far).

Chiara went for their Iced Chocolate and another pastry of theirs that has two stars at the Great Taste Awards: Pain au Chocolate.
The pain au chocolate huge – real value for money here. The pastry is mega light and airy, with the perfect ratio of crispy to fluffy. The chocolate is decadant, and there’s a lot of it! There is a reason it is the only one in the world with two stars.
The iced chocolate drink was perfectly balanced and ideal for the summer.
Of course, Moose had their Doggy Digestives, which he absolutely loves. He could not take his eyes off the packet, silently hoping for more.

Safe to say that I am a fan
Knead Bakery is a much-welcomed addition to Oxford’s food scene, and despite mainly having a massive sweet tooth, I will definitely be going back to explore more of their savoury options.
Have you stopped by Knead Bakery yet? Any thoughts?
