Sometimes after a long week all you need is a coffee catch-up with friends over the weekend.
Ever since visiting Monkey Puzzle for their afternoon tea, I have been dying to go back for their scones. The garden is such a hidden gem and it’s the perfect setting to soak up some sunshine and get some fresh air.
Scones and coffee- a solid combo

We ordered two scones, which are served with clotted cream and jam, an iced caramel latte, and a mocha.
The scones were good, and so were both coffees. The scones were soft and light with a crispy outer layer, as they should be. I am also a big fan of their mocha- good coffee!
It did start to rain shortly after the photo on the left was taken (British weather, am I right?), but the sun came through for the content.
This was the perfect late ‘breakfast’, and it’s so nice to sit in their garden. It’s so peaceful and there’s lots of space.
If the weather’s not the best, there’s seating indoors too!
The cutest spot! Plus, I managed to stay away from any other sweet treats (well done to me).

You will catch me again there soon on a sunny day
As you might be able to tell, I am a big fan of Monkey Puzzle. They have a selection of baked goods served daily, and it’s always nice to see what different things they have on offer. As always, the staff were lovely and on hand to help with anything.
Have you been to Monkey Puzzle yet? Let us know in the comments what you thought…
