What we’ve BITTEN into lately…

13th September 2023 by Holly and Rachel Leave a Comment Blog, NewsARTICLE/ Oxford

Every month, we’ll give you a rundown of the dishes/snacks/drinks the Bitten team have enjoyed and where you can find them to experience them for yourselves. We’d love to hear in the comments what the best things you’ve bitten into recently are.

Chiara – Gusto Italian

Gusto Italian is located on the High Street in central Oxford. I highly recommend ordering the burrata which is served on a watermelon carpaccio and is the epitome of summer in a dish. Super fresh ingredients and melts in your mouth, leaving you wanting more.

James – Gourdans Steak Frites

The place I’ve loved this month is Gourdans Steak Frites, situated in St Clements, Oxford! Gourdans serves up a brilliant selection of steak cuts with fab sauces, generous sides, and some great wines 👍

Lauren – G&D’s

Waffles and bagels at G&Ds! With three different locations around Oxford, you’re never too far from a G&Ds. They’re my go-to spot for an affordable lunch or sweet treat. I love the veggie bagel (always an everything bagel, always toasted!) This time round we ordered waffles, 1 sugar and lemon, 1 maple, and bacon. It’s simple, but always hits the spot.

Nicola – Love Coffee!

Love Coffee has two locations in Oxford, one on Cowley Road and the other situated on the High Street. This Orange Cake cake arrived drizzled in honey and was so light and fresh. It had my mouth watering from the first mouthful!

Holly and Rachel – Cotswolds Guy

We’ve recently discovered the Cotswolds Guy near Enstone and these tater tots were worth the trip alone. Soft pillowey pockets of fluffy potato coated in a frazzle-flavoured bacon dust which amazingly is vegan. Incredibly moorish and great dunked in posh Stokes ketchup. Divine!

What new places or plates have you discovered lately? We’d love to hear your recommendations, drop them in the comments.
