We are well into BBQ season, so I wanted to highlight the brilliant Pro Smoke BBQ supply shop up in Banbury.
BBQ is a huge part of my life, not just for the summer, so having somewhere I can get all I need when it comes to fuels, seasonings, BBQs, smokers, and just about anything you can think of when it comes to BBQ, is amazing.

Oliver Giles, owner of Pro Smoke, started off wanting to get his hands on an offset smoker from the USA and I don’t think he realised, at this point, how big this passion was going to get!
After successfully importing an offset, other people started to wonder where and how he got his hands on it. It went from having a few smokers in half an industrial unit, fast-forward 3 years, and he now has 3 units stacked full of equipment for BBQ enthusiasts and professionals, not even taking into account another offsite storage for the massive smokers. When I say massive, I am talking about 1,000 gallon offset smokers made of steel – they look like something you might find in a train yard rather than for cooking BBQ.

Full disclosure at this point, I help and run some of the classes hosted up at the HQ in Banbury, but they really do have a great array of classes on offer, including a Texas Maserclass, BBQ Basics, Mexican Taco, Open Fire Cooking and many more. Everything you need to up your BBQ game for the summer and learn some new techniques. These classes demonstrate just about every style of BBQ you can think of, as well as keeping you fed throughout the day.

Oliver and the team have you covered with just about every type of BBQ you could hope for.
The popularity of the growing BBQ scene in the UK means BBQ shops now can’t just stock a few kettle BBQs. All round units, like the popular Big Green Egg, have a great set up in the shop, with core bands like Weber, PK, Masterbuilt and pizza ovens from Gozney are just some of the fab brands you will find. If you do fancy getting in proper offset smoking, why don’t you go for a 500 gallon Primitive pit that are imported from the USA (check out the picture below!).

If you are looking at getting a BBQ upgrade for the summer or have been thinking about getting into smoking your food, this spot in Banbury is a must-visit. There is nothing else like it around Oxfordshire for getting anything you need for the BBQ!
