So you wanna join Bitten Street?

29th January 2015 by Jacqui Thorndyke Leave a Comment BlogEVENTS/ Oxford/ STREET FOOD

As of 2018, we are expanding the market and we’re very pleased to offer trading opportunities to food producers and craft/makers, as well as street food traders.

We love hearing from brilliant new traders, but there are only so many we can book for each event, and our standards are high. We have three non-negotiable three P’s for all the traders we book.

1. Product

Whatever you’re selling, be it hot food, vegetables, arts and crafts or baked goods, the quality has to be high. We want to celebrate the best of what Oxford and the surrounding area has to offer, alongside the best local and visiting street food traders.

2. Presentation

You make great things, so show them off properly! Bitten Street is fortunate enough to be based in a beautiful location, and our traders reflect that. Each trader is required to provide their own stall/truck/van/trailer to sell from, but it has to look the part. We want to see your products and your personalities shine.

3. Personality

‘GSOH’ a must and divas need not apply. If you prefer to fly solo this isn’t the event for you, but if you’re up for getting involved as part of a collaborative effort, we’d love to hear from you. We all promote each other and work together to make the event a success.

That’s pretty much it. Street food traders will need to pass our taste tests, then we’ll need some paperwork from you (all the relevant health and safety certifications, including public liability insurance) before you can start trading with us.

Application to trade

So, if you think you’ve got what it takes, fill in our new trader forms, then if we think you fit the bill we’ll be in touch.
