Great news in this morning from Graeme and Michael at independent wine shop, Grape Minds in Summertown – the pair have secured keys to a venue in Wallingford, which they’ll be opening as their second wine shop! An expected opening date for the shop is Friday 17th September, on St Martins Street.
From their press release:
Building on a successful 3 years trading in South Parade, Summertown, it was always the pair’s ambition to open a second site in Wallingford, and when 10 St Martin’s Street became available, it was the perfect size and location. Graeme said “I have had some previous experience selling wine in South Oxfordshire, mainly for delivery, and always felt there was a gap in the market for an independent merchant in the area. Michael, with close friends in Wallingford and regular experience of Bunkfest, has loved the town for many years.”
The range will be broadly the same as the Summertown store and Grape Minds will continue to find delicious wines at great prices for all their customers to enjoy. The selection of over 500 wines is hand selected from tens of thousands, and both owners try every single one. With the relaxation of restrictions, tasting events have started again and the pair of owners see this as one of their key USPs. Michael said “There’s no better way to explore wine than by trying it, and I can’t wait to share the wines we love with the people of Wallingford.”
More details can be found on their website grapemindsdrinkalike.co.uk including upcoming events in both Summertown and Wallingford.
Huge congratulations and good luck to Michael & Graeme, from all of the team at Bitten 🍷 we can’t wait to check out the new wine shop in Wallingford when it opens!
