George Street has a new independent coffee shop, located between Debenhams and Franco Manca. Brought to you by the team behind much loved Brew in North Parade, Ratio opened last week and provides sit in or take away hot drinks as well as their own baked goods and pastries from Gatineau. Coffee comes from Roundhill Roastery in Somerset and is made on a La Marzocco machine. The drinks menu includes the regular array of coffees that you’d expect as well as cortados, piccolos and iced versions. Soy, oat and almond milks are also available as well as fruit teas, hot chocolates and chai lattes.

It’s clean, contemporary and chilled with a small seating area and a larger area known as the Senior Common Room opening downstairs soon. Open 6.30am to 6pm Tuesday to Friday and 7.30am to 5.30pm Saturdays.
