The owners of The Handle Bar Cafe and Kitchen have extended downwards, into the left-hand side of the bike shop below, with a coffee by day, bar by night concept called Le Bar.

The new venue in St Michael’s Street will be open as a bar from 5pm – 11pm on Wednesday to Sunday, and for coffee from 9am – 4pm Friday to Sunday.

Coffee will be from local, small roasteries, currently Missing Bean – no espresso machine though, the bar will serve other brew methods like drip coffee.

Food served will be Handle Bar food at the weekend, following in its lead as anti-palm oil. Drinks in the evenings will be sipping malts, rum, mescal and tequila, a handful of wines and sparkling, plus a bunch of cocktails.

The barstools at the window look like the perfect place to watch the world go by, looking forward to visiting for off-duty drinks!
