5 Tasty Easter Events & Offers

7th April 2019 by Jacqui Thorndyke Leave a Comment BlogEVENTS/ family friendly/ SEASONAL

Easter 2019 in OxfordThe end of school term just creeps right on up, doesn’t it?

With two weeks oh mayhem ahead and hungry bellies to feed (ours AND theirs), here are five top tasty treats to choose from that’ll entertain everyone.

Easter egg hunt at Waddesdon Manor then pub lunch

Waddesdon Manor is holding an Easter Egg Hunt from Friday 19th – Monday 22nd April. Keep the kiddos happy with a basket full of choccy, then after knackering them out, stop off at a country pub on the way home. The Pointer in Brill, The Abingdon Arms in Beckley, or The Mole and Chicken in Long Crendon are all perfectly located en-route home.

Porterhouse steak frites deal

The Porterhouse Grill & Rooms Oxford, Steak Frites | Image: Bitten OxfordNeed a break from chocolate eggs and fish fingers? Porterhouse Grill & Rooms are offering Steak Frites for £12 Monday to Friday. Take a bunch of kid activities along with you to keep them entertained while you tuck into some rather excellent grub together. If you want to knacker them out first, Oxford Castle is about ten minutes walk away, and is running a series of Easter activities for kids. Throw in a run up and down the castle mound and they’ll be more than ready for a sit down.

Eynsham Hall afternoon tea – kids go free

Eynsham Hall has a fab Easter Holiday afternoon tea offer running Monday to Friday (8th-12th April and 15th – 19th April). Children aged 12 years and under go FREE. Terms and conditions apply, booking is essential and full details are available on their website.

Sushi making workshops

There are still some places left on the sushi making workshops with Roll With Me Sushi, tomorrow and Tuesday at The Plough, Wolvercote. This is a hands-on event where the children will learn to make and eat their own sushi, using familiar ingredients such as tuna mayo, seafood sticks, breaded chicken and heaps of crunchy veggies. The cost is £16 per child (£17.36 including booking fee), full details on Eventbrite.

Easter Egg Hunt with added adventure

Need some eggs-tra excitement? 😉

A family Easter hunt and adventure awaits at De Vere Cotswold Water Park, with an egg hunt around the grounds, and cookies and milk for children at bedtime. The package includes a one-night stay for four in an apartment, with breakfast included. To view pricing and book for stays until 22nd April 2019, click here or call 01285 864000.
