Dew Drop Inn Makeover – Your Thoughts…

12th May 2016 by Jacqui Thorndyke 7 Comments Blog

Dew Drop Inn foodHaving just undergone a “huge refurbishment”, the Dew Drop Inn in Summertown swung its doors back open last week and held an opening party this evening to celebrate. Promising an “exciting new menu alongside a fantastic range of draught beers, local cask ales, quality wines and ciders”, we’re intrigued to hear what you have to say, as Bitten weren’t able to attend the celebrations (boo!).

Let us know if you’ve been and what you think…

Looks good they have retained the traditional look. But the lagers, why does every pub go over to Peroni is overpriced and over hyped, what happened to the St Miguel or Stella. The Veltins is also not so good

It was Peroni before. Stella, Peroni, San Miguel, Carling, Guiness… the real loss was when it went from Coke to Pepsi…

I guess this was my main point…that they no longer sell these premium lagers and like many new pubs only sell Peroni and now Veltins and i believe possibly Amstell.
          Thanks for replying

Went for lunch, the food itself was nice… but terrible terrible slow and un-attentive service (there were not many people having lunch so I couldn’t see any reason for the delay..) . Will not return I’m afraid.

Huge improvement – now smells of wood and leather instead of damp and chip grease! Eaten there a couple of times, food is good and will definitely be going back. They’ve also made the most of the outside area at the front, one of the very few in Oxford that gets afternoon and evening sunshine.
