Cakey More

Cakey More is a one-woman bakery based in Kidlington specialising in handmade Italian macarons and bespoke buttercream celebration cakes. 

The lady behind the cakes is Siobhan, a hobby baker who turned pro during the baking boom of lockdown 2020. She was always a keen baker but was challenged to raise her game by her stepsons, who have a particular fondness for the finicky but fancy meringue-based treats.

After much trial and error, she baked a batch of macarons to be proud of and before long was posting them to friends and family all over the country. As lockdown continued and family birthdays came and went, celebration cakes were next on the list, and she worked on perfecting her piping to produce some big, bold, buttercream bonanzas. Requests began pouring in, and with the impulsive nature of a card-carrying millennial, an Instagram account was set up and Cakey More was born.

With a real focus on delicious fillings made from quality ingredients, Cakey More macarons come in an ever-expanding variety of colours and flavours and can be hand-painted to mark special occasions. Siobhan even takes flavour requests – got a hankering for something specific? Let her know, she loves a challenge!

As far as the celebration cakes go, they are custom-made to suit the tastes of the lucky recipient, so whether its flamingos or Fortnite, Cakey More has got you covered. Available in a range of flavours, shapes and sizes, get in touch to discuss whatever you have in mind. Currently, Cakey More is taking orders through Instagram and email, but Siobhan is hoping to set up a stall at North Parade Market in the near future and hopes to see you there soon.

Cakey More is mostly active on Instagram (cakey_more) and Facebook (cakeymore), which is where you can eye up their latest creations, keep up-to-date with their cake-related activities and order postal or locally delivered macarons and bespoke celebration creations.

They have been spotted at Kidlington Market and are planning to set up a stall at North Parade Market on the 2nd Saturday of every month.
