Foodies Festival returns to Oxford 28th-30th August

27th August 2021 by Katy Kelly Leave a Comment AD - Invite, BlogEVENTS/ NEWS/ Oxford

Looking for an excuse to eat and drink lots this bank holiday weekend? Foodies Festival is here to answer your foodie prayers. The UK’s largest food and drink festival returns to Oxford’s South Park this weekend; and you bet the Bitten Crew will be in attendance.

The festival is a chance to sample new wines, champagnes and cocktails, try street food from around the world and meet artisan producers all to the sound of live music.

The event will include…

A chefs Theatre with live cooking, Cake & Desserts Theatre, Drinks Theatre with wine, champagne, beer and cocktail making masterclasses, Shopping Village with award-winning artisan producers, Street Food Avenue, Kids Cookery School and a live music stage. Other attractions include a chilli eating competition and family friendly areas with activities for children.

Left – Mike North of Nut Tree Inn, Right, Oxford’s 215’s Paul Welburn will attend

The award winning chefs taking part in the Chef’s theatre include Tom Rhodes, MasterChef 2021 champion, Alex Webb, MasterChef: The Professionals champion 2020, MasterChef 2021 finalist Laura Michael and 2020 MasterChef finalist Sandy Tang, Michelin starred restauranteurs Mike North from Nut Tree Inn and Nick Galer from The Miller of Mansfield.

There are over 150 exhibitors showcasing their produce from around the world, the UK and, of course, Oxford. We’re particularly excited to taste cookie pie slices from the Cotswold Cookie Company in the Artisan producers village. And we’ll be sampling craft beer including hoppy American IPAs, fruity Belgian beers and malty traditional ales, from Oxford’s very own church Hanbrewery.

The festival is supporting Musicians Against Homelessness (MAH) with tickets raising money for UK-wide homelessness charity Crisis.
