Who would have thought an Industrial estate on the edge of Witney would be home to the best pizza around?! Sartorelli’s at Church Hanbrewery is an independent takeaway pizzeria, hosted in a brewery in North Leigh. It’s made up of members of the local community, owned by its team, with all profits shared fairly and equally.
Eating out has never tasted so good.
When I suggested to Rachel we reviewed our favourite lockdown pizza haunt, she jokingly replied: “I think I’ll need another one first”. She’s had the same pizza three times in as many months!
Santorelli’s offer’s three options of pizzas, all only £5.00 and cooked in a wood fire oven outside the brewery itself. You can add additional ingredients at only 50p each but don’t expect anything that isn’t authentically Italian – no Hawaiian here!
Rachel opted for the Alici with extra capers, perfect for experiencing the absolutely incredible full force of the tomato base. A great option if you’re not a cheese fiend.
For cheese lovers, the Marguerita is generously topped with oozy stringy mozzarella and fresh basil. All herbs come from their garden! The dough though 😍 is reminiscent of our best pizza ever experienced in Napoli, yet all the flour is sourced from local mills.
Sartorelli’s do collection or delivery, but it’s worth collecting if you’ve got a designated driver, then enjoying a cold beverage whilst you wait!
If you’d rather not eat in the estate, we stumbled across a perfect alfresco picnic spot almost opposite the exit, with conveniently placed bench. It’s worth noting that the pizza’s don’t come pre-cut, so BYO pizza cutters!
In a nutshell: authentic Italian brilliance on an industrial estate, in a brewery, at a fantastic price!
Sartolli’s is open for collection and deliveries from Thursday to Sunday from 5pm to 10pm. You can follow them on Facebook here.
